Video Editing for Youtube Videos

I've been busy on Youtube and I am ready to take the next step to making more professional videos.

I don't want to spend a huge amount of money to start. What route would be recommended for editing videos?

Painless, easy and quick options. I am not good at technical stuff and I don't want to battle and fight for hours to edit a video.

Possibly a better option would be for me to pay someone else to edit my videos but I am worried the price might be way too high? Also I don't like waiting. I am a very impatient person.

Any advice?

I want to know the answer to this question too as my daughter is making her own gameplay videos now for WolfQuest and Minecraft and assorted Steam games and she is learning as she goes about how to edit. I have tried to show her the Youtube options for editing, but not being as familiar with those, I can't be of much assistance on that. Mostly though, I want her to be able to edit out little 'mistakes' or edit in tiny clips and fun things that her viewers might like to see.

And, for myself, I need to know how to edit a tiny clip out of a longer video - for instance, sometimes I find a good Matt Cutts video that has only a tiny portion that I want to use, link to. I want to edit just one comment out and make that into a new video. That is only an example, mostly this would be for my own content though.

Hi Bev

Yes I found something about 2 weeks ago, I can't remember what it was called... but I tried all day to edit a video and I just frustrated myself to tears. I just uploaded it to Youtube as it was. It is not easy when sometimes my videos are up to 15 minutes long. I have to do it all in one go with no mistakes. Not easy!

Windows Movie maker is a good video creation tool and video editor. It is free video making program from microsoft. Windows movie maker is good for short videos. You can also edit a long video, but your editing program might lag if you are editing long videos. You can cut scenes, eliminate background sound, add back ground sound on windows movie maker. You can also ad intro and end credits. There are lots of video effects on windows movie maker which you can use to add effects to your video.
I have tried windows movie maker and it is a good program. I can recommend this free video editor.

I am not really good with video editing and I have to admit that I only know the basic features. But I’m proud to say that I can make a video myself with the videos that we have in our camera. I am using Adobe Premiere 6.5. It is an old version for SD video that is not HD yet. However, for YouTube purposes, HD or SD does not make much difference. And for beginners, I would suggest you get the installer of that old Adobe Premiere version and in 1 day you can make a rough video edit.

Magisto and the Filmora GO are two apps that you can have on both desktop and the phone. There seems to be Android OS that can have the apps there. You can see some of those apps are really good and something like those apps if free are worth using. Some of them have the Ads on that. And some are premium service system where you can see that to be used there. Another thing is that youtube has it's own editor but other editors seem better.
